This Privacy Policy describes how we at Colin Jones (Rock Engineering) Ltd obtain, use and protects any information that you provide when you get in touch with ourselves. Its also describes who has access to your personal data.

We will only collect information directly from you when you contact us with a request for our services and/or a quote. In such cases, we may ask you to provide us with one or more of the following pieces of information:

We require this information to understand your needs so we can provide you with a quotation and information regarding your enquiry and then to provide our services to you.

We retain your personal data for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was provided. What this means in practice will vary between different types of data. Otherwise, we securely erase your personal data from our systems when it is no longer needed.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable, physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure your information. All client information is stored on the office computers and is only accessible to our employees. All our computer and iPads are password protected and up to date with firewalls to scan for viruses. Your information is only shared to relevant Sub-Contractors as per the work involved.

Access to Data

You may, within a period of one month of a written request, inspect and/or have a copy, subject to the requirements of the legislation, of information in your own personnel file and/or other specified personal data and, if necessary, require corrections should such records be faulty.  If you wish to do so you must make a written request to our Office. The Company is entitled to change the above provisions at any time at its discretion.

Data Protection Training

Ensuring that our employees follow best practice in terms of protecting personal data is a mandatory legal requirement, therefore our experienced office staff are regularly trained, advised and audited via ISO 9001. We are also advised by Croner Group on HR matters and refer to their employee handbook and employment control system book.
