Description of Project

In Nov 2018, the cycle path and area (a protected site due to SAC & SSSI) at Devils Gulch, Elan Valley were closed to the public following a rockfall, leaving some areas of the rockface unstable due to the steep incline. The area had been cordoned off and no access allowed until the work complete.

Accessing the areas using either rope-access techniques and the Merlo Roto 50-30, work involved to make safe included:

• meshing & bolting
• Installing spot dowels with threaded bars
• Some vegetation clearance, whilst keeping an eye out for nesting wildlife
